Work Experience

I work as a production assistant for HokieVision and the ACC Network at Virginia Tech. I have been working in broadcasting with HokieVision since February 2018.

At HokieVision, I do a wide variety of jobs. I primarily work as a camera and replay operator for the ACC Network as well as for the in-arena videoboard shows. I have also labeled and tagged hundreds of game highlights to our cloud server.

On February 25th, 2020, I directed and produced the ACC Network X broadcast of Virginia Tech baseball. Then on March 4th, I produced and directed the Virginia Tech lacrosse broadcast also on ACC Network X.

In March 2019, I worked a 12+ hour shift broadcasting the 2019 ACC Wrestling Championships in Blacksburg, Virginia.

When I am not working in-house at HokieVision, I work as a freelance utility for ESPN. I work as a skilled utility on setup day, and on set, I serve as a camera grip on gameday on the sidelines for football and basketball. I have also worked as a parabolic microphone and WildCat SkyCam Utility.

In the summer of 2019, I interned with Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, where I researched and helped organize the 2019 Jamaica Classic college basketball tournament in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

I like to work as many different positions for as many sports as possible. One of the most exciting work opportunities I have had, was when I worked as a social media assistant for the 2019 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted at Virginia Tech. I got to take pictures of all the championship events where my photos where posted to the official ACC Track and Field Twitter Page. I got to work with incredible people with the ACC Like Andrew Bacon and Maggie Bolton, and I got to work in a new sport and learn how exciting a college track meet can be.
